Just a cup of coffee at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen - Hoogkerk and then: on to the dolmens! Near Midlaren you will find the hunebedden D04 and D03, together called the Hunenborg. They are nicely hidden between two old farmhouses, along a romantic sandy path. The city of Groningen is located on the northern spur of the Hondsrug, the hunebed region of the Netherlands. So it's not surprising that you can see them so beautifully near here. You also drive through the city itself. It is worth getting off and walking onto the Grote Markt. Also worth seeing: the Vismarkt with a number of beautiful buildings and the Korenbeurs, where there was a lot of trading in the nineteenth century.
