The route starts in the Remmersteinse Bos on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You descend between the trees to the Nederrijn. From a distance you can see the tower of the Cunerakerk in Rhenen. You drive along the foot of the Grebbeberg. Along the Valleikanaal you enter the Gelderse Vallei. In this vast landscape it is wonderfully quiet to make kilometers. Then you drive through the Amerongse Bos, one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You pass the fifteenth-century Scherpenzeel Estate. On the edge of Renswoude lies another impressive building: Renswoude Castle from 1350. Here you can also see the Gran Canal, a watercourse that supplies the canals around the castle with water. Your tour ends in style with a delicious meal at Residence Rhenen.
