Tour of the Wolink Estate

Just south of Haarlo you will pass the Wolink, a beautiful example of a typical Achterhoek camp landscape. These 'camps' around an old farm consist of a small-scale mosaic of high fields, forests and high-stemmed orchards. On the Wolink estate you will always have beautiful views of the monumental farm. There are more than sixty species of birds, such as the black woodpecker, tawny owl and nuthatch that nest here in the old trees. The route also takes you through the village of Haarlo, where the octagonal historic church is called De Kluntjespot (sugar bowl) by the residents.
