\\\'Hundred Morgen\\\' is an old lot name from the time before the peat and reclamation of Het Twiske. A'morgen\\\' was a parcel of land whose land could be plowed in a morning. You can also explore this route in a morning, at a leisurely pace.

Nature reserves near the Stootersplas
The starting point of this route is in the recreation area Het Twiske, near Den Ilp. From here you walk straight through the nature reserves De Belt and De Blokken. Scottish Highlanders graze in the latter area and you will also find a meadow where many reed orchids bloom in June. A beautiful sight to behold. You also walk a bit along the banks of the Stootersplas. This lake was created during the excavation of sand for the construction of the Coentunnel. This lake attracts many water birds, so keep your eyes open if you like to spot special birds. You will find many widgeons here in the winter.

Clear your head
You can relax in the quiet areas of Het Twiske. Enjoy the view of the beautiful nature in this Natura 2000 area and clear your head. Before you know it you will feel completely relaxed.
