You start this walking route at VVV Groesbeek. You walk out of the village to Mini Camping De Hoge Hof, where you can spend an overnight stay. You walk through the greenery to De Bruuk. It partly consists of the blue grassland, rare in the Netherlands. Further on you climb the wooded hills of the Sint-Jansberg nature reserve. In the forest you pass the place where the remains of a Roman villa were discovered in 1931, the foundations have been partly rebuilt. A little further on is the Bovenste Plasmolen, a national monument from 1725. At De Pannekoekenbakker Plasmolen you can refuel some energy on the cozy terrace. The Groesbeekse Bos is located on a moraine. It is an old forest, in which you will find old beech avenues, oaks, birches and conifers. And a refreshing silence!
