Cycling between Oss and Den Bosch

In 1838 the mayor of Heesch lived here, now you can go to Brasserie't Oude Raadhuis for fresh coffee, a delicious lunch or dinner. From here you will cycle about 60 kilometers through the Brabant landscape under the Maas. The name"Heesch\\\" comes from the Old High German"haisjo\\\", meaning"undergrowth\\\". It is not without reason that the area is wooded and rich in agriculture and arable farming. At Rosmalen you arrive in De Hooge Heide. This is a collection of estates and nature reserves. Coniferous forests, heath remnants, drifting sand plains and moist deciduous forest alternate. The Grote Wetering river crosses the area. You cycle along the Maas via Oss back to Heesch.
