Loop around Haarle, Holterberg and Regge

Enjoy a wonderful bike ride around the Sallandse Heuvelrug! Your route starts at Eetcafe De Droadnagel in the characteristic village of Haarle, at the foot of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. In this National Park, you will find one of the largest continuous heathlands in Europe, as well as forests, tranquility, and impressive topography. The last population of wild black grouse in the Netherlands lives on the Sallandse Heuvel. For more information, you can stop at the Sallandse Heuvelrug Visitor Centre. In the past, many goods were transported via the small river Regge. From the sixteenth to the nineteenth century, zompen sailed here—flat-bottomed boats that could navigate even in very shallow water. Back at the starting point, you can enjoy a well-deserved snack and drink to round off the day perfectly.
