Tour of Oosterland, Schuddebeurs and Zierikzee

From Het Vijfde Caisson - Museum Brasserie and Knowledge Center you can take a bike ride across Schouwen-Duiveland. You will find plenty of peace, natural beauty and places with a rich history, such as Oosterland. Here you pass, among other things, the Judocus Church. Since the choir burned down in 1612, the church tower has been separate from the rest of the church. Further on you pass the Oosterlandse Molen, a flour mill from 1752. Just past Sirjansland you pass the Slikken van Dijkwater. This former shipping channel was dammed up after the flood disaster in 1953 and is now a largely dyked nature reserve. On the Ring in Noordgouwe you will see the Epiphany Church from 1462. Further on you will pass through Schuddebeurs where capital country estates were built during the Golden Age. You drive along the harbor canal to Zierikzee, the last town on your route.
