Cycling route: 1672243

From here you immediately cycle into the beautiful Maassluis, a picturesque centuries-old reclamation village. Maasland enjoys a protected village view. Due to the many well-preserved centuries-old houses, time seems to have stood still here. In 1574, this area was flooded when William of Orange had the dikes cut through to drive out the Spanish. In Schipluiden you will pass the Tramstation Museum. In this nice town you will see several beautiful monumental buildings on the quay. On the Vlaardingsevaart you will pass the former Rechthuis van Zouteveen, from 1651. On the way back you will cycle through the Broekpolder, a nature reserve consisting of forests, open spaces and water features.
