Cycle route Lottum, Grubbenvorst and Horst

From the village of Velden you cross the Maas, after which you pass the OL Vrouw Tenhemelopnemingskerk on the edge of Grubbenvorst. There has been a church here since the fifteenth century. The current building was built after the Second World War, because its predecessor had been damaged by war violence. Further on you pass two country houses: De Steegh and Kaldenbroek. In Horst you can have a drink on a terrace at Gron drink eet geniet. For an ice cream you can go to Passi. Soon after getting on, you drive into the Kasteelse Bossen. Here you will find the ruins of Kasteel Ter Horst. This castle dates back to the fourteenth century. Via Melderslo and the Schuitwater nature reserve you drive to Lottum. On the other side of the Maas you can take a look at Kasteel Arcen.
