Description

On this route you will be introduced to two regions in Flemish Brabant: the Pajottenland and the Zenne Valley. In the Pajottenland you can enjoy a slightly hilly landscape with a rural character and in the Zenne Valley you will find forests and streams.

Through nature to Halle
The starting point of this route is in the heart of Pajottenland. This area is also sometimes called the Tuscany of the North. Experience for yourself whether you think this description applies to this region or not. While cycling you will be treated to beautiful views of vast orchards. Here and there you can still see a few square farms that are typical for this region. You cycle a bit along the course of the Zenne river and then cycle into charming Halle. This old town is bursting with cozy terraces and monuments that are worth admiring. For example, take a look at the Gothic St. Martin's Basilica with the statue of the Black Madonna.
