Round Betuwe: along the Linge to Buren

Via the hamlet of Twee Sluizen you walk to the Linge, known for its flowering fruit trees in spring. A typical Betuwe picture. But actually it is beautiful here all year round! You follow the winding Linge through a beautiful farm landscape. Then you walk into Buren, a picturesque town that can call itself Oranjestad because of its ties to the royal family. Here you can see, for example, the fifteenth-century Sint-Lambertus Church where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. The fortifications are still largely intact. At De Pannekoekenbakker Buren you can enjoy something delicious before walking back to the starting point.
