Tour Betuwe: along the Linge to Buren

Extensive agricultural areas, fruit orchards and here and there a beautiful sight. That's what awaits you today. The route starts at Prince Delicious. Via the hamlet of Twee Sluizen you walk to the Linge, known for the flowering fruit trees in the spring. A typical Betuwe picture. But actually it is beautiful here all year round! You follow the winding Linge through a beautiful farm landscape. Then you walk into Buren, a picturesque town that can call itself Oranjestad because of its connection with the royal family. You can see here, for example, the fifteenth-century Sint-Lambertus Church where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. The fortifications are still largely intact.
