Description

Beautiful nature, an atmospheric river, picturesque villages: this route has it all! You start in Maasbree. You can soon get off at Restaurant de Boswachter for a cup of coffee. Rozendorp Lottum is known for rose cultivation. Twenty million roses are grown in the municipality every year, more than seventy percent of the total production. The old Maas meanders provide a unique piece of nature in the Broekhuizerbroek and the Houthuizerheide. Moist grasslands, swamps and swamp forests, but also peat ponds stretch before you here, varying in height and vegetation. The Slottermolen is one of the 51 watermills that Limburg once had. The former medium-sized water mill is connected to the Everlose Beek via a mill pond. The mill dates from 1849, but the mill part is four centuries older.
