Tour of watermills and the Loenense Bos

The car park is near Paper Factory De Middelste Molen. The watermill from 1887 grinds on the Loenense Beek, but paper has been produced at this location with a watermill since 1622. After a restoration organised by paper manufacturers from the region, paper has been ground with the mill again since 1991. The production process has hardly been changed and the Middelste Molen is the only working paper factory in the Netherlands that still works on water power. In Eerbeek you cycle to the next watermill, which is simply called De Korenmolen. The Eerbeekse molen is the only still working overshot watermill in the Netherlands. Cycling through the Loenense Bos you will come across a sheepfold. In Hoenderloo, have a cup of coffee at Brasserie Delicat before cycling back to your starting point!
