Tour of Bilthoven, Lage Vuursche and Soest

From Bosch & Duin you cycle through the forest to Bilthoven. From the leafy cycle path you have a view of beautiful villas. From junction 97 you cycle past two country estates: the eighteenth-century Rustenhoven and Eyckenstein Castle, which dates from the seventeenth century. It is wonderfully peaceful to cycle in the extensive forests around Lage Vuursche. Soestdijk Palace is a former seventeenth-century hunting lodge that was expanded over time. At junction 69 you cycle over the Soester Eng. At the foot of this are the windmill De Windhond and the village church from 1350. The area around the church is truly a picture, and it is not without reason that it is considered a protected village view. The last part of the route leads you through the woods again.
