Tour of Bilthoven, Lage Vuursche and Soest

From Bosch & Duin you cycle through the forest to Bilthoven. From the leafy cycle path you look out over beautiful villas. From junction 97 you cycle past two country estates: the eighteenth-century Rustenhoven and Eyckenstein Castle, which dates from the seventeenth century. The vast forests around Lage Vuursche are wonderfully quiet for cycling. Paleis Soestdijk is a former seventeenth-century hunting lodge that was expanded over time. At junction 69 you cycle over the Soester Eng. At the foot of this are the De Windhond mill and the village church from 1350. The area around the church is truly a picture, and it is not for nothing that it is a protected village view. The last part of the route takes you through the forests again.
