You start in Vessem, a village with centuries-old buildings such as the old town hall, 'De Leeuw' and the Sint-Lambertus church. Then you cycle to the village of Duizel, just like Eersel one of the eight villages that belong to the Acht Zaligheden, originating from Selligheden. They were called Armzaligheden by the Dutch soldiers, who were billeted here during the Belgian Revolution around 1830 and found the region to be poor. That has changed now. You cycle straight through nature to De Grote and Kleine Cirkel on the Peelsche Heide near Reusel. In the 1930s, the street plan of the Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde were created in a part of the heath. Take a break here at De Oude Brandtoren!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
