Cycling route: 153755
Provided by: Groots Genieten
You cycle through nature to the Grote and Kleine Cirkel on the Peelsche Heide near Reusel. In the 1930s, the street plan of the Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde was applied to a part of the heath. The circles were beautiful landmarks for pilots in the Second World War. You cycle back via Vessem, a village with centuries-old buildings such as the old town hall,'De Leeuw\\\' and the Sint-Lambertus church. Then you cycle to the village of Duizel, one of the eight villages that belong to the Acht Zaligheden. These villages are said to owe their nickname to Dutch soldiers, who were billeted here during the Belgian Revolution around 1830 and found the region to be poor.
