Around Vorden you can enjoy a mosaic of fields, grasslands, estates and forests for many kilometers. Ideal if you want to switch back for a day. At junction 88 you can take a trip to Hackfort Castle. The building was destroyed by the Spanish in 1586. The castle was rebuilt in 1598, followed by a thorough renovation in 1788. Vorden itself is a charming town. You pass some beautiful old buildings, such as the village church. Just outside the village you will pass Vorden Castle, a moated castle whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. This castle was also damaged during the Eighty Years' War and later restored. At the end of your route you can take a look at the Sint-Willibrordus Church from 1870. The route ends at Grand Café Bij Ludger.
