Over the Oostelbeerse Heide to Oirschot

In the area, agricultural areas alternate with extensive forests and stream valleys in all directions. The Kleine Beerze flows west of Oostelbeers, which partly consists of a diversion canal and partly from the original valley with the meandering river. There are some small groves along the river, through which you can walk. About 4 km to the southwest is the Landschotse heath, a vast heathland area with a number of large fens. The Oostelbeerse Heide extends east of Oostelbeers, an area of coniferous forest and heath with some fens. Part of this is a military training area. The heath is part of the municipality of Middelbeers, which is known for its beautiful village center. Greenery is of paramount importance in this quiet town. Also special is the Old Tower, located about 700 m south of the village, where it stands alone in the fields, surrounded by a grove. The militia also practices here.
