Voorne-Putten may be relatively small, but you will find everything for a long and varied day of cycling: beautiful nature, old towns and plenty of peace and space.
Voornes Dune
You cycle a bit through Voornes Duin: one of the most varied dune areas in Western Europe. At the end of your route you will explore this beautiful nature reserve again. Further on you drive past the bird-rich Quackgors nature reserve. A wonderful place to stop and enjoy the view.
Heenvliet Castle
There is a lot to experience in the harbor of Hellevoetsluis: you will find a lighthouse from 1822, a corn mill from 1801 and Dry dock Jan Blanken that was built between 1798 and 1822. You cycle along the Bernisse, the old arm of the river that separates the former separate islands of Voorne and Putten. The picturesque Market of Heenvliet still exudes the atmosphere of times gone by. You can also take a look at Te Heenvliet, the ruins of a castle from 1254.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
