Gerhagen nature reserve
The starting point of this route is in Diest. In this town you can do all kinds of fun things. For example, every first Sunday of the month you can visit the book fair at the Beguinage and on Ascension Day there is a nice antique and curio market. The Beguinage is also worth a visit on other days because of the beautiful buildings you will find there. Furthermore, the town is surrounded by city walls on which a beautiful mill stands. A little further along the route you cycle through the Gerhagen nature reserve. If you like birds you should definitely take a seat in the birdwatching hut with binoculars. Then you can spot all kinds of beautiful birds.
