Description
Forests, lakes and cities: the area around Heemstede is very diverse. From Heemstede you cycle to Aalsmeer and the Westeinderplassen. These belong to an extensive peat and lake area. The area covers more than ten square kilometers, which consists of a large lake and several smaller ones around it. This creates islands in the water.
