Description
Your route starts at Pannekoekenboerderij Grietje. Today you will discover beautiful spots! Such as the Gran Canal Kasteel Renswoude, a water feature in the garden of Renswoude Castle. The castle dates back to 1350. The Grebbelinie Visitor Centre is located in Fort aan de Buursteeg, one of the largest forts on the Grebbelinie. You will also drive into the Amerongse Bos, one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It is a short climb, but it is well worth it. Large beech trees grow along the stately avenues, a beautiful sight. Some pines date back to the eighteenth century! Amerongen Castle has a history dating back to 1286. Here you will learn more about Wilhelm II, the former German Emperor. Zuylestein Estate dates back to the fifteenth century.
