Via the back of the market we cycle through the J von Heydenstraat (one of the oldest streets in Haaksbergen) with the Ned. Reformed church and Richtershuis from the 17th century. Along the edge of Haaksbergen we arrive at the Horste estate on the Buurserbeek. Through the Haaksbergse Veen we cycle into Germany at the Lüntenerwald (follow the red signs with bicycle) to cycle into the province of Gelderland at the Zwillbrock border crossing. Along the Berkel we arrive at Rekken with its Pieper mill. Following the road we come across the Berkel in Eibergen again at the Mallumse Molen. Via the Assinkbos and Lankheterbos we arrive at the oldest double water mill in the Netherlands. The Oostendorpermolen, from 1548, on the Buurserbeek with 3 undershot wheels can be visited on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Along the golf course, with the restored Jordaanshuis on the left at Camping Stienboer, on the first floor there is a changing exhibition, we go through the sports and folk park Scholtenhagen back to the cozy center of Haaksbergen.

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were used not only to produce flour from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, really set up as a polder model. A must see!
