It is wonderful cycling in South Limburg. You will find everything for a successful day out: beautiful landscapes, lots of heritage and cozy terraces.
Castle Valkenburg
You cycle through the protected cityscape of Valkenburg. In this historic city center you will find city walls, the Grendelpoort from the fourteenth century and of course the ruins of Valkenburg Castle. Step off to admire this unique place at your leisure. Just before the village of Wolfshuis you pass the Van Tienhoven mill from 1855. It is the only mill in the Netherlands that is entirely built in marl. Another unique photo opportunity!
Saint Anthony Bank
In Sint Antoniusbank, a hamlet of about 40 houses, you will find a lot of history. There are two closed square farms, two beautiful monumental farms and a former monastery. Your camera is working overtime here! The last part of the route takes you past De Dellen, a nature reserve rich in relief. The route ends at Herberg De Geulhemermolen. A cozy and historic location for a snack and drink, because the inn is located in a water mill from 1768!
