Enjoy a coffee and a treat on the terrace of Park Berkenrhode before hopping on your bike. You will first ride into the Roekelse Bos. In the middle of this nature reserve, you will pass the Mosselse Veld: an open area of grass and heather at the foot of the Valenberg. Next, you ride through the adjacent Planken Wambuis, one of the most famous forest areas of the Veluwe. How beautiful and quiet it is here! You gradually descend towards Renkum and the Rhine. It is lovely to cover many kilometers along the pristine floodplains. You will also enjoy the vast landscape in the Gelderse Vallei. You will pass Hoekelum Castle, which originally dates back to the fourteenth century. In Ede, you will make a refreshing pit stop on the cozy terrace of Bernardo's Ice Cream Parlor. You will ride back to the starting point through the woods. What a beautiful day!
