Zierikzee, Nieuwerkerk and Noordgouwe

In the church ring village of Nieuwerkerk, the unnamed flour mill from 1844 shines bright white against the horizon. The mill was preserved after the terrible flood of 1953, but it did have problems for a long time due to the salt water that stood in and around the mill. In September 2004, the lower meters of the hull were rejoined for this purpose. The potrod was restored in early 2008. The mill is no longer in operation.
