Cycling route Geldrop, Helmond and Heeze

You will find plenty of nature and culture between Geldrop, Helmond and Heeze. An ideal route for an interesting day out. The first kilometers you ride on the leafy cycle path along the Eindhoven Canal. Nice to loosen up your legs. Just past junction 4 you pass Helmond Castle. This striking moated castle originally dates from the fourteenth century. You drive along the canal and through the forests of the Herselsche Heide to the village of Lierop. Here you will pass the striking Holy Name Jesus Church from 1892. At Boscafe van Moorsel you can sit on a terrace and enjoy a tasty meal at your leisure. Then it is time to cross the largest heathland in the South of the Netherlands: the Strabrechtse Heide. Finally, you will pass two castles in Heeze and Geldrop.
