Your route starts at Herberg de Radstake, in the middle of an exciting domain where highwaymen used to hold sway. The scenic landscape around Lichtenvoorde has many estates and castles that are typical of the area. In the countryside of the church village of Beltrum you will find the agricultural company of the Stegers family. In addition to a pig breeding farm, they also manage a beautiful vineyard with verve. Six different varieties are grown on two hectares. Anyone who wants to visit the vineyard can book a tour and tasting. Then you pass Erve Kots Open Air Museum. Also a nice place to get off, here you can see what farm life in the Achterhoek used to be like. On the way back, just before the end point, you can enjoy a drink on a terrace at Café de Boer!

In the Zwarte Veen near the Radstake, brigands used to lie in wait to attack the passing covered wagons. When the robbers were arrested after a robbery, justice was pronounced at De Radstake and the robbers were also broken to the wheel there. The wheel and stake were attributes used for this. It should be clear where the name of this inn comes from. The Radstake has a cozy terrace with the largest parasol in Europe. The terrace is partly covered, so even if it rains you can comfortably sit outside. In the inn you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee, but also a tasty lunch or dinner. Do you feel like a snack for the tasty snack in between? Then you are in the right place at Herberg de Radstake. At the inn you will find a spacious free parking space and there is a charging point for e-bikes. In short, you can find everything you need here.

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were used not only to produce flour from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, which are truly arranged as a polder model. A must see!
