Description

The Boerenhuis is the starting point of this route. In Deurne you cycle past the old Sint-Willibrordus Church. Further on is Holten\\\'s Mill from 1890. At the Haageind you can see the Water Mill that has stood on the Vlierbeek since 1631. You will also pass the ruins of the Large Castle and the beautiful Small Castle. Both castles originally date from the fourteenth century. You cycle between the Deurnese Peel and Mariapeel. Get off at Hotel Eetcafé In D\\\'ouwe Peel in Helenaveen, one of two peat colonies in the southern Netherlands. The town enjoys a protected village view, here you can experience what a Peel extraction village used to look like. You pass the Volksvriend, a flour mill from 1903. The Johanna-Elisabeth, a flour mill from 1844, is one of the few bottle-shaped mills in the Netherlands.
