Tour Over-Betuwe: Doornenburg, Huissen and Bemmel

Your route starts at Camping De Waay. Here you get on your bike for a beautiful tour through the Over-Betuwe. In the commuter town of Huissen you will find a surprisingly new center with a number of beautiful old houses. Further on you cycle through the Rijkerswoerdse Plassen, which are part of Park Lingezegen. Via Elst you drive to Bemmel, where you can take a look at De Kinkelenburg: part of the country house still reminds of its fifteenth-century origins as a keep. A little later you cycle onto the Waaldijk: from this road you have a view of the fruit orchards and the floodplains for many kilometers. Fort Pannerden, a little further away, was built from 1869 to 1871 to guard the junction of the Rhine and the Waal. Doornenburg Castle is also worth a visit.
