Tour of Gemert and nature around Veghel

Your cycling route starts at Herberg de Brabantse Kluis, a beautiful rural spot on the edge of the beautiful De Biezen nature reserve. This route takes you past Brabant towns such as Gemert with its castle, but you also discover beautiful nature reserves. The landscape around Veghel is characterized by the 'plumbs' of greenery that are present everywhere and that divide the landscape into small pieces: rows of trees, wooded areas, bushes and yard plantings. An important green connecting artery in the landscape is the Aa river. Animals and plants can migrate between the fragmented green areas via the stream valley along the Aa. North of Boerdonk you pass through Het Hurkske, a forest area with fens. The small towns of Keldonk, Boerdonk and Esdonk are located on cover sand ridges, to which the addition'donk\\\' also refers.
