Cycling through the Land van Cuijck

In the Land van Cuijk you can enjoy the Brabant geniality. This route takes you through the area around Mill: a region full of natural beauty and sights.

Castle Aldendriel
Enjoy a delicious meal at Brasserie Erica before you get on your bike. First you drive past the fifteenth-century Aldendriel Castle. The building is not publicly accessible, but you can enjoy the natural beauty around the castle. Further on you pass a flour mill from 1857: de Korenbloem. Just after Bruggen you drive a bit along the Defense Canal. It was part of the Peel-Raamstelling, a Dutch defense line that was built in 1939.

Beer Estates
Just after junction 1 you drive through some of the Beerse Landgoederen, such as the Ossenbroek and Nieuwenhof. Here you see an old cultural landscape of forests, streams, hedgerows, meadows and fields. Further on you pass the Mariamolen, a monumental hexagonal flour mill from 1802. In Haps you can see the neo-Gothic Sint-Nicolaaskerk from 1899. You drive back to Brasserie Erica on low-traffic roads through the countryside. Just before you arrive you can still see the Heimolen, a corn mill from 1799.
