Description

This beautiful cycling route takes you through the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. Between Bloemendaal aan Zee and Zandvoort you can enjoy the panoramic view of the sea. You drive through Aerdenhout, the village known for its majestic villas. In Zandvoort you will see some villas in the beautiful Art Nouveau style. Haarlem is a charming city that has almost 1200 national monuments. The route also takes you through Het Grote Hout, the oldest urban forest in the Netherlands. Under the leadership of the famous landscape architect Leonard Springer, the forest was thinned out at the beginning of the twentieth century so that it looked more like a park.
