Description

Hectares full of lush forests, heathlands, stately avenues and sand drifts, you will find it all around Milheeze and Deurne. Along the way you will pass through the Stippelberg nature reserve. This area is named after the old drifting dunes that are scattered as dots in the landscape. Scottish Highlanders graze the area. Experience the peace and space here while cycling. From Nederheide you cycle to Milheeze and Deurne. You will pass the Laurentia mill from 1890. In Deurne you will see Holten's Mill, a belt mill from 1890 that served as a flour mill, oil mill and saw mill. The mill is now kept running on a voluntary basis. The Small Castle dates from the fourteenth century. The watermill was built in 1631 along the Bakelse Aa. Get off at Restaurant De Eeterij!
