The Soester Dunes
In Soest you will find the Soester Duinen sand drift. You will find virtually no trees in this area and that ensures that the drifting sand can drift around freely. This area was once covered by heathlands, but these fields were sown and grazed by cattle. This is how the special current drifting sand area was created. Cycle straight through this nature reserve to the center of Soest. You will pass the windmill De Windhond. This mill was built between 2006 and 2008 on the site of a predecessor. You will find Soestdijk Palace on the municipal border of Soest. During a visit you will get to know Soestdijk Palace, where Prince Bernhard and Princess Juliana lived for a long time. Allow enough time to admire the palace.

Hotel Contact der Kontinenten
At the end of the route you arrive at the Hotel Kontakt der Kontinenten just outside Soesterberg. Here you can settle down in ProefLokaal De Wereld for a delicious meal, but you can of course also stay overnight. In this comfortable hotel you feel far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

National Military Museum

The entire Dutch armed forces and its history can be admired here. Tanks and airplanes pose in the large hall with thirteen meter high glass walls. Admire these sturdy tools of the Dutch army and air force and wander through the complete Arsenal. Every piece in the museum has a story.
