Description
Between Doesburg and Doetinchem you will make a varied route. First you cycle to Laag-Keppel. Here you will see two old watermills and a castle that originally dates from 1350. After this castle was destroyed in 1582, it was rebuilt in the seventeenth century. Further on you cycle through the protected village view of Hummelo. You will find a surprisingly nice historical atmosphere here. You cycle a long way through the coulisse landscape just below Hengelo, after which you explore the open landscape along the IJssel. Doesburg is an old Hanseatic town, there is plenty to see. Through the rural Liemers you cycle to Jan & Jan eten en drinken in Didam. Further on you pass food garden Plok, also a nice stop. Through the countryside you cycle back to the starting point.
