Description
Between Doesburg and Doetinchem you cycle a varied route. First you cycle to Laag-Keppel. Here you see two old watermills and a castle. After it was destroyed in 1582, the castle was rebuilt in the seventeenth century. Further on you cycle through the protected village view of Hummelo, with a nice historical atmosphere. You cycle a long way through the coulisse landscape just below Hengelo, after which you explore the open landscape along the IJssel. Doesburg is an old Hanseatic town, there is plenty to see. Take a break at Stadshotel Doesburg & Restaurant De Kade! Through the rural Liemers you cycle to Jan & Jan eten en drinken in Didam. Further on you pass food garden Plok, also a nice stop. Through the countryside you cycle back to the starting point.
