Tour of the Waterland Church, St. Margriete, Oostburg

In the middle of a sea clay landscape, in a patchwork of polders, you will find the town of Oostburg. Around this you cycle through creek areas full of orchids and grasslands. You start at Hotel Restaurant De Eenhoorn in Oostburg. Here you can enjoy good food but also sleep. You cycle a long way over the Liniedijk. The view of the many fields, dikes and ramparts is beautiful. You pass through small farm workers' hamlets with special names: Plakkebord and Stroopuit. They were specially built for the farm workers who worked on the farms between the villages. Back in Oostburg, take some time to explore the town, there are a few beautiful historic mansions to see. Nice sights are also the Protestant Church, the 55 meter high water tower, the Eligius Church and the Town Hall that opened in 1957.
