Teuven, Sint-Pieters-Voeren and's-Gravenvoeren

With that, everything has been said about the insignificant village. Here you can experience Belgian village life without tourism or frills. Simple, cozy and yet authentic! Some religious buildings have been well preserved, such as the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe-Chapel, the Sint-Lambertuskerk and the Steenboskapel. Historically, the Altenbroek and Ottegraven castles are also well preserved and worth a visit.

The highlight of this cycling tour is undoubtedly the former commandery of the Teutonic Knights, which was donated in 1242 by Daniel van Voeren when he made his entrance there. The castle was the commandery of Alden Bielden, where the commander stayed. The complex consists of a main building, a farm, stables and a gatehouse. The oldest part of the fortress is the L-shaped wing, topped by a tower. A number of ponds were added to the original ring moats around the commandery in 1885. Trout, sturgeon and eel were, and still are, bred here.
