Veluwezoom tour from Rheden

Five thousand hectares of hilly nature reserve extends around Rheden, Dieren and Eerbeek. The rolling Veluwezoom National Park is very diverse and beautiful to discover by bike!

The Veluwezoom
After a cup of coffee at Holiday Village De Jutberg, you get on your bike. Large and small mammals hide in De Veluwezoom National Park: red deer, fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar are no exception. In addition, the park is home to six of the seven native reptile species: the viper, the smooth snake, the grass snake, the slow worm, the sand lizard and the viviparous lizard. You will learn all about it at the Veluwezoom Visitor Center, where the tour takes you.

Waterfall Loenen
Due to the large height differences, the highest waterfall in the Netherlands can fall on the Scherpenberg: Loenen waterfall, with a height of 15 meters, is on par with the highest waterfall in our southern neighbors. Due to the height difference, stairs have even been constructed. De Middelste Molen in Loenen is also worth a visit. The water mill from 1887 grinds on the Loenense Beek, but paper has been produced at this location since 1622.
