Description
Oirschot is a beautiful place to start the route, because this picturesque town has more than 300 national and municipal monuments and has a protected village view. You will find numerous terraces where you can stop for a cup of coffee. Between Boskant and Liempde you cycle past Slot Den Hulst in Sint Oedenrode. The castle is located at the end of a long, curved driveway. The castle was already there in the fourteenth century, but it has been renovated several times over the centuries. During this route you will also pass a listening point (L115: Robert Cole and Joe Man) where you can hear more about the fierce battles in the forests near Son and Best, on 18 and 19 September 1944.
