From Petten along the beach and through the polders

You start this fun bike ride at Brasserie Zo Hab. Enjoy something tasty here so that you can drive through the quiet Pettemerduinen with enough energy. Then you drive a bit through the Zijpe and Hazepolder. There was raised peat here until the twelfth century, in the centuries that followed the land was reclaimed and subdivided into straight plots. You pass through the Mennonite neighborhood, a settlement founded by missionaries. Make a pit stop at Restaurant De Watersnip, and in the summer you can also visit mini beach pavilion The Sandbar. You cycle south along the coast and pass through the northern part of the Schoorlse Duinen. Further on you drive through the vast Hargerpolder. In this quiet and bird-rich area you will pass two monumental polder mills: the Groetermolen and Hargermolen. The route ends in Petten.
