Beautiful colorful fields stretch between Hoogkarspel, Wervershoof and Medemblik. Here you will find green meadows, bulb fields that bloom beautifully in spring, summer and late summer and glass greenhouses. Enjoy the views over the vast landscape here.
The most beautiful windmill in North Holland
From here you cycle past the flower bulb fields to the De Hoop mill in Wervershoof. This mill was placed here in 1889 as a replacement for an older mill. In 2010, the mill was declared the most beautiful mill in North Holland by the Noordhollands Dagblad.

In the town of Oosterblok you can take a look at De Krijgsman. There have already been two other mills on this site, but the current mill was built there in 1896. The earlier mills were destroyed by a storm and lightning. The current mill is still well maintained and is still used for grinding for specialty shops and the food industry.
