From here you cycle to Boekelo, where you can take a ride at the Boekelo MBS or Zoutindustrie MBS stations. The Museum Buurtspoorweg lets old steam and diesel trains and locomotives run on old narrow gauge tracks through the modern landscape. Delden is situated on a ridge: a beautiful covering sand relief. The town is already mentioned in 1036 and writings prove that there was already a church there in 1118. In 1333, the small fortified city, which had two city gates, obtained its city rights. Then you cycle past the Monument Battle 3 April 1945 Delden. The plaque commemorates four Britons and 13 Canadians who died here during fighting with the Germans. On the way back you can fully enjoy the Twente landscape.
