Just outside Tilburg you can take a route full of natural beauty and sights. Hilvarenbeek is the largest village on your route. And the most beautiful!
Brabant country
It is easy to cycle on car-free roads through the Brabant countryside with its meadows and fields. You will soon pass the Leemputten, a small-scale nature reserve. Further on you drive through Diessen and some smaller villages. Just before junction 82 you drive past Koningshoeven Abbey. You can stock up on something tasty in the abbey shop.
Gorp estate
You drive along the leafy banks of the Wilhelmina Canal, after which you soon enter Landgoed Gorp. Here you cycle through a mix of meadows, fields and forest plots where deciduous trees and conifers grow. So variety is an asset! In the hamlet of Gorp you pass a number of beautiful monumental farms. You will also pass the nineteenth-century hunting lodge that the then landlord built here. Finally, you drive past the historic Vrijthof in Hilvarenbeek.
