Tour of De Biezen and Eijckenlust

Your route starts at Herberg de Brabantse Kluis, a beautiful rural spot on the edge of De Biezen. At the start you already look out over the beautiful nature reserve. Together with Milschot it forms a varied nature reserve. Here you will find a lush moist deciduous forest, conifers and flower-rich grasslands. You take a nice walk through this area and then follow the Aa river, an important green connecting artery in the landscape. Animals and plants can migrate between the fragmented green areas via the stream valley. Then you discover Eijckenlust. The current main building dates from 1658. The facade was designed in this way in 1812. Above the double front door you will see a beautiful pediment with a clockwork. The gatehouse and the square canal system are still reminders of the old castle.
