Stadtlohn is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia. Archaeological finds prove that there was a medieval settlement on the site of Stadtlon. The current city developed around the official court of the Bishop of Munster. The administration of the city was transferred to the Counts of Löhn after a few years, since then the city has been called Stadtlohn. In 1611, the city suffered a major fire, while at the same time armed conflicts ravaged the city. After all this disaster, a conscious decision was made to shrink the village. You will also encounter the German town of Vreden on the route. Excavations show that the area around Vreden was already populated more than 10,000 years ago. However, the finds in the center itself only indicate habitation from the fifth century BC, but the village as we know it today was first mentioned in 839. There is a beautiful papercutting art museum on the market, where there are always very beautiful and interesting works of art on display. can be viewed, based on paper. The Sevink Mölle now runs on a voluntary basis and for a viewing you can pick up the key yourself from the caretaker in the pancake house next to the mill.

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were used not only to produce flour from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, really set up as a polder model. A must see!
