Nature route Croy Castle and Helmond Castle

Via Landgoed Croy with its impressive castle from the fifteenth century you cycle to Stadspark De Warande, a former nature reserve. Here the former residents of Kasteel Helmond are buried on an island, surrounded by old beech trees and an impressive weeping willow. Further on, take a break at the medieval castle, where the Gemeentemuseum is located. In addition to the city's history, old and contemporary art are highlighted. You continue via the Bakelse Bos. The hamlet of Boomen enjoys a protected village view, where you will see several characteristic long-façade farms. At the intersection of Laan ten Bomen and Boomen there is still a lime tree from 1640. Then you cycle to the Papenvoorste Heide, which is part of the Stiphoutse Bossen. Here you cycle through fragrant coniferous forests.
