Tour of Kortrijk

The city centre of Kortrijk is one of the oldest cities in Belgium. The city of "Cortoriacum" was founded around the year zero, a residential area that was founded by the Romans as a precursor to the current city. In the Middle Ages, the flax and cloth industry flourished as never before in Kortrijk. This gave the city an enormous economic boost.
