Your bike ride today takes you along the most beautiful villages of Texel. From the IJsdijk you have beautiful views over the Wadden Sea. Don't forget to look to the right as you cycle past the Dijkmanshuizen bird sanctuary. You pass through Oudeschild, a beautiful village from which VOC ships once departed. The seventeenth-century White Church you see here is a picture. In De Cocksdorp, get off at Eethuus Van het Wad in De Cocksdorp, where you can enjoy Wadded delicacies. Den Burg, the largest village on Texel, is also a nice place to put your bike aside and soak up the atmosphere. It doesn't take long before you reach De Koog, one of the oldest villages on Texel. Only the old village church still reminds of the former fisherman's life.

Eethuus Van het Wad is located right in the center of De Cocksdorp, where you can eat delicious pancakes. In addition to the 50 different pancakes, they also serve delicious fish, meat and vegetarian quiches. In the eatery they use local products as much as possible: the milk for the pancakes comes from the Labora ice cream farm, as does the ice cream. The eggs come from the De Oude Witte Engel farm in Den Burg, the meat comes from Texel animals and the fish comes from Texel cutters. A nice place to join during a nice bike ride or walk on Texel!
