From your starting point you first cycle past 't Munnikenhof, a medieval country estate. In the seventeenth century, Jacob Cats acquired the castle and wrote most of his poems here. Then you drive to the nice Westkapelle. Visit Het Polderhuis Museum and more here! You will learn more about the landscape created by war. Via the historic seaside resort of Domburg you cycle through the Manteling nature reserve with the medieval Westhove Castle. The robust castle is a feast for the eyes with the carefully landscaped estate surrounding it. Veere is one of the most picturesque fortified towns in the Netherlands. You will see beautiful monuments, such as the Grote Kerk from 1348. The fifteenth-century town hall with its imposing facade now houses the De Vierschaar City Hall Museum.
